He went on the rush for 801 yards his rookie season while averaging almost 5-and-a-half yards a carry. He played in Super Bowl I, the loss to Green Bay and the upset victory over the Vikings in Super Bowl IV.
He joined the Chargers during the 1970 season and stayed with them until 1973 when he retired.
