After an All-American career at UCLA Randy Cross was taken by the San Francisco 49ers in the 2nd-Round of the 1976 college draft. Ended up playing 13 seasons for San Francisco until he retired in 1988. Played at both center and right guard. While he was there he helped the 49ers to 3 Super Bowl championships. Played in 180 regular season games as well as 13 playoff games. Named to the Pro Football Writers Associations 1976 All Rookie team and the Pro Football Reference All-1980s team.
After he retired he enjoyed a career in NFL Broadcasting doing games for both ABC and NBC.
