A graduate from Detroit Mercy College, Grady Alderman was Detroit’s 10th round pick in 1960. By 1961 he was starting at left tackle for the Minnesota Vikings. He remained with the Vikings for 14 years playing in 6 Pro Bowls and making the All Pro Team in 1969.
